'Avem' | Short Experimental Film.

Role: Production Designer (2019).

The very first film I made and was subsequently the Production Designer for was 'Avem', an experimental short inspired by the lives and works of Sarah Kane and Antonin Artaud. It exhibits a young, nameless woman who is trapped alone in a decaying, remote room with nothing but her art and aimed to be a reflection of artists who battled their declining mental health through their work.

This project required us to shoot both on location and on a set-build, with two days shooting total. I enjoy seeing how far I have come as a creative individual from this first project and how much I have learnt about what it takes to act within the Art Department.
